Senior Cloud Engineer will focus and lead development and data analytics activities. (S)he will be responsible for designing and implementing software solutions and data warehouses system according to the best practices running at cloud, also leading and guiding development team members.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud native software solutions and data warehouse systems based on customer requirements according to the best practices.
• Support presales engagement technically with designing and sizing the solution, preparing, and reviewing scope of work.
• Lead, guide, and mentor other cloud development team members.
• Research new products and services on cloud, design and deliver proof of concept solutions.
• Review team members’ output including source codes, make suggestions for improvement areas.
• Contribute to the documentation of the projects.
• Make customer presentations.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc/Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related field with similar work experience
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience in designing and building backend systems preferably running on cloud.
• Good understanding of fundamental software design principles for a scalable application.
• Strong unit test and debugging skills.
• Proficiency with major programming languages like Java, C#, Python, Golang, JavaScript.
• Experience in relational and NoSQL databases, data warehouse products, ETL tools, and caching applications.
• Experience in CI/CD practices, containerization, and Docker
• Analytical thinking, multitasking, problem solving, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud, etc. with official certifications.
• Experience with Infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and/or its managed versions.
• Experience in distributed systems, concurrent programming, microservices architecture.
• Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies
• Contributions to Open-Source projects, technical publications

The position in a nutshell

Cloud Engineer (Kubernetes) is responsible for designing and deploying high performing, reliable and scalable production environments for production in cloud or in hybrid cloud. (S)he is expected to deliver and improve automation in infrastructure, integration, and deployment.

An ideal candidate is someone that is a self-driven technical resource who is comfortable coding and delivering solutions, as well as driving technical recommendations to peers based on technical analysis and evaluations.

(S)he will be responsible for the overall health of multiple applications and their operating environments while interacting with development team members to design and deliver the applications with high availability and stability.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud-native microservices architecture.
• Design and implementation of cloud-based services running on cloud infrastructure and ensure that they meet the business objectives and adhere to service level agreements (SLA).
• Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Investigate new techniques, tools, methods that might increase efficiency among engineering & technology and cloud teams, as well as leading execution processes of topics evaluated & planned for roll-out.
• Collaborate with other technical leaders and business stakeholders to align all constraints and come up with solutions regarding project/product/initiative outputs.
• Perform pre-sales consultancy by supporting status quo in client meetings, help the client decide the solutions & service in alignment with expectations, help Account, New Business & Engineering stakeholders to define strategy & offerings (specific to a project)
• Be accountable for the reliability and security of cloud infrastructure and services.
• Provide visibility of performance, cost, and the security of cloud infrastructure and services.
• Drive continuous improvement, continuous delivery, and lean practices within the cloud team.
• Keep up to date on modern technologies and trends and advocate for their inclusion within products when it makes sense.
• Identify emerging technology solutions that reduce cost, increase efficiencies, enhance capabilities, reduce risk, and improve security.
• Ensure that all cloud technology applications create a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related fields
• 2+ years of experience in Kubernetes (must have)
• 3+ years of experience in CI/CD tools (like Jenkins, Argo CD, GitHub Actions, GitLab) and infrastructure automation (like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux, Windows operating systems, knowledge in shell scripting (like bash, sh, zsh)
• Experience with cloud native applications and containerized systems
• Knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Knowledge of Kubernetes networking
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Experience of working in scrum teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in Managed Kubernetes (like Tanzu, OpenShift, EKS, GKE, AKS, etc.)
• Experience in hybrid-cloud environments
• Leading DevOps teams
• Programming in Go, Python, Java, JavaScript

.Net Engineer is responsible for developing scalable, reliable, and high performing microservices in Microsoft C# programming language to run in cloud environments. (S)he is expected to understand functional and nonfunctional requirements, design data schemas, API endpoints, (a)synchronous integrations between systems, software components and software architecture, produce software documentation, debug, and solve issues, identify bottlenecks, refactor, unit test, deploy and monitor software.

As a Cloud SysOps Engineer, you will be a part of our Cloud Engineering team and will be responsible for the overall health of multiple applications and their operating environments. You will apply your system and network skills working with cloud-based resources to define standards and processes for scalable and reliable applications. You will also be responsible for dealing with an arising issue of the production environments at any given time.

Qualifications & Experience

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of experience with Linux System Administration
• Experience in infrastructure as code technologies like Terraforms, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and troubleshooting.
• Experience with at least one of the virtualization platforms (EC2, VMware, oVirt/RHEV, QEMU/KVM)
• Knowledge onHTTP and related concepts such as reverse proxy, load balancing and caching
• Experience with web servers such as NGINX, NGINX+, Apache
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, BitBucket CI/CD, GitLab CI/CD
